The Sussex Beauty Training School has been developed to provide high quality training to students who want to work in the beauty industry.

training facilitiesWe train using high quality professional Salon brands such as Matis, LCN/Beauty Concepts and Tisserand Aromatherapy to promote basic professional product knowledge and enhance the ability to work in a salon environment on graduation, again, an asset to both Therapist and employer.

We are working towards accreditation for CIBTAC and will be offering CIBTAC courses in the new year.
There is a wide range of diplomas available and these are available for most learners.

The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC), is an international examination board responsible for the education and training of Beauty and Holistic Therapists world wide.
CIBTAC has been renowned for its strict quality control and high levels of training for nearly 30 years, hence employers and government agencies recognise the value of these diplomas. With a CIBTAC diploma a therapist can work anywhere in the world.

training facilitiesThe CIBTAC courses available at the Sussex Beauty Training School include an intensive Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma or more flexible modular courses in subjects such as Manicure, Pedicure, Waxing, Electrical facials, Anatomy and Physiology, Massage, Electrical Body Treatments, Aromatherapy etc.

These modular courses will enable students to choose their specialist area and also give the opportunity to work towards a complete Beauty Therapy diploma in their own time and pace if the intensive diploma is too challenging for them.

We also offer post-graduate courses and provide guest lecturers for on-going training. This enhances learning, motivation and continual professional development for existing therapists and lecturers in Beauty and Holistic Therapies.
These courses can be residential if required.

The Principal

Anita Hayman qualified in 1985 with CIBTAC, CIDESCO and ITEC qualifications in Beauty Therapy.

Anita has over 22 years Salon and business experience in the health, beauty and fitness industry. She also has over 15 years teaching experience within this industry and she is currently on the National Advisory Committee for City and Guilds ensuring quality standards within the industry.

During her career she has built up a reputable Beauty Salon which gained accolades such as Professional Beauty’s Best British Beauty Salon & Health and Beauty Salon’s Best Regional Salon

On a more personal level she was a finalist in 2001 Guinot Therapist of the Year and a finalist in 2004 in Professional Beauty’s Therapist of the Year.

Her idea of opening a training school evolved due to her frustration as an employer having to re-train college leavers.

Upon networking with many Salon owners over the years who have been experiencing the same problem Anita decided to take the ‘bull by the horns’ and open a School of Excellence.

The School will promote realistic Salon practices, a professional salon environment which uses professional Brands, encourage sales training and employee respect and understanding of the employer, as well as offering work placement opportunities.
